Amanda Jensen, MSN, NP
Chief Nursing Officer

Amanda Rae Jensen, MSN, NP is NW Indiana ER & Hospital’s Chief Nursing Officer. She is accountable for delivering quality nursing practice throughout the organization including inpatient, ambulatory, and procedural settings. Prior to joining NW Indiana ER & Hospital, Jensen spent over 10 years at Munster Community Hospital where she was responsible for quality reviews and nurse training, in addition to her work as an Emergency Department Registered Nurse.
Jensen received her Associate of Science in Nursing from Prairie State College in 2009 and went on to complete her Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing from Purdue University Northwest in 2013. She has served as a member and department representative on a variety of committees including the Standards and Practice Committee, Stroke Committee, and Chest Pain Accreditation Committee, where she utilized her natural leadership skills to enact policy changes and create new processes. She is also a member of the Emergency Nurses Association.
Originally from Lansing, Illinois, Jensen enjoys cooking and spending time with her family. Along with serving as CNO, she is currently completing her Master’s Degree from Chamberlain University with focus on Family Nurse Practitioner.
