Krista Rubino, PharmD, is the Director of Pharmacy at NW Indiana ER & Hospital, where she is responsible for the provision of comprehensive clinical pharmacy services for the hospital and emergency room. Prior to joining NW Indiana ER & Hospital, Krista worked as a clinical pharmacist at Mount Sinai Hospital in Chicago and then as an emergency medicine clinical pharmacist at Holy Cross Hospital in Chicago.
Krista received her Doctorate of Pharmacy from Butler University in 2017 and went on to complete her pharmacy residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in Chicago. Throughout her career, Krista has excelled as an emergency room pharmacist with multiple accreditations and accolades. Krista has been responsible for developing various protocols and guidelines, such as acute ischemic stroke, diabetic ketoacidosis, sepsis, and antimicrobial stewardship. Krista is a member of the Indiana Pharmacists Alliance (IPA), the American Pharmacists Association (APhA), and the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP).
Krista is known by her colleagues as a highly skilled pharmacist with a tireless work ethic and impeccable problem-solving capabilities. Her clinical interests include infectious disease, pharmacokinetics, and anticoagulation. In her spare time, Krista enjoys playing volleyball, spending time with family, and touring wineries.
